Many breeders will specialize in one or two of the color varieties -- which of the colors are you hoping to find? Are you wanting to find bantam or large fowl birds? Would you be wanting to purchase eggs, chicks or started/adult birds?

It's been hard to find a breeder nearby, but any color and preferably bantam, and chicks any age would work, female if possible.

What part of Nor Cal?
I'm up here by the Oregon border on the coast and there is a girl who has pretty good birds. Black and Lav, I know. Thought I saw silver last year.

You won't get female chicks, they are all straight run. And no bantam.

No, and not NPIP certified either. They have John Blehm blood lines.

It's ALMOST funny when people call Sacto/bay area Nor Cal, since I'm soooo far north.

Hope you get great chicks... (I so far) love the true Ameraucana demeanor, though all have turned out to be cockerels for me!
