ameraucana chicken eggs..all the same color?

One of my EEs lays a green egg and the other lays a light, kind of pinkish egg. So, yes, EEs, like the OP has, do lay different colored eggs. However, the individual bird does not switch from one color to the next.

True Ameraucana's will only lay blue eggs. EE's can lay any color egg. (Blue, green, brown, etc)

I'm a little bummed, then. I thought I had Ameracaunas, and would be getting blue or green eggs. I still love my girls, but would have liked the colorful eggs.

Just because they are probably EE's doesn't mean that they won't lay blue or green eggs. Sounds like you are getting a blue one already!

My Easter Egger, Ladyhawk, looks a lot like this photo. She she began laying small light blue eggs on August 27th. One of our white Easter Egger (Opal) laid her first egg yesterday...small light blue egg. They would be cute boiled eggs.
