Ameraucana & EE project - is it worth it??

I personally believe that they are STILL Ameraucanas, if they have the REAL Ameraucana body type, leg color, earlobe color, and they are a color that people in the chicken community recognize (lavendar, laced, mottled, etc) EDIT - I forgot to mention, egg color (blue)

If they are really nice birds, dont play down what you have!

Explain that they FULLY meet the Ameraucana standard, but they are an unrecognized color variety of the breed - but still a color that is recognized in other breeds or is a color that is being worked on to be accepted.

It may be so but however you still will have to cull out the willow legs or yellow legs and green eggs and brown eggs out of the stock for several generations.

Oh, yes, definitely!! I think I'm way ahead of the game already though, as the lavs all have slate legs already...really just have to work on egg color...

Thanks everyone!!!
