"Ameraucana experts-is this an Ameraucana?"

Quote:
Correct.

Last summer I rehomed a gal that was hatched out with some ameraucanas. She looked wheaten, had a small pea comb, no muffs, no beard and she ended up laying a beautiful blue egg... long before her sisters I might add.

One of my girls is what I can best describe as a pumpkin colored laced cream. She starts pumpkin on top, then the lacing throughout the mid section and ends with cream petticoats in the tail section. She is beautiful. She has no muffs, tufts, beard. She has a small pea comb (or is it a rose comb that just looks pea-ish) and olive colored legs. She lays a beautiful light olive colored egg.

i've perused the APA's website and it seems i must buy a book from them to learn what beard and muffs are as apposed to ear tufts. is there a site or link you know of that clearly defines this with pictures?

i'll check to see if you have a "mypage" with pictures of this EE after posting this.

Our EE's eggs: I just checked the last two she laid an they are less blue and more of a light olive green. looking at the first two eggs she laid in photos posted on "mypage" she started laying blue eggs. hmm.

the EE is my favorite of our four by far. she is the trouble maker though.

I've never been a big EE fan but I would LOVE to have one that lays those pretty blue eggs.

This members page is good for some information.

I will try to get a pic of my girl 'Oddrey'. I have been thinking it is time for another pic, but the weather has been so dark. Will be sunny and cold today!

Rosco - Here is a pic of my Oddrey.

By the way. As of today I have one EE - (wheaten.... Was a Buff chick with a dark stripe down her back) who is laying a darker olive egg than Oddrey. It is a med olive color... Very pretty!
