Ameraucana gender?

I have two and one has to be at least a week older, it’s way bigger. Thoughts on gender? Hoping for no Roos but have a thought on one being a roo.

Neither are roosters. Both are cockerels.
Males over 1 year are roosters. Males under 1 year are cockerels.

Both are lovely cockerels, and Easter Eggers.....not true Ameraucanas. Plenty of mislabeling occurs between the two.

However, this certainly looks pullet, in case you were wondering. Am I correct in assuming it's a different bird?

Yes! Sorry they had more spacing between before I posted. I’m hoping for both pullets but I’m thinking the first (first two photos) isnt.

Its a little early, but they both look suspect. And they're both easter eggers, not ameraucana.

Sorry I should have been more specific. The first two are the first one (the largest and reddest) the second two are the second one. From what I've read the first may be a cockerel, and the second a pullet. The second hardly has any of the pretty copper color and the pattern of its feathers are very uniform.

I’m leaning towards pullet for this ^ one.

They're getting to the size where a comparison of their legs and feet should prove helpful. Easter Eggers can be tricky because they're a combination of multiple breeds so they're not as predictable as a purebred. BUT- If one has significantly smaller feet/leg thickness, that's probably a girl. I couldn't tell for sure but I bet if you got them side by side and showed us a picture of their legs/feet included, it would be easier to tell.​

That's what I'm leaning towards too! So sad my splash maran (bottom on on the first photo)is definitely looking cockerel.
