Did they specify an egg color? That's the best part of EE I find, you can get so many shades of greens, blues, and pinks, but you never know until you finally find an egg...

It's weird when I went to buy my chicks and asked for an EE they said they only sold ameraucanas!

Ugh, I know right! When I mentioned that at the feed store, they got all offended. Even other customers. I didn't know EEs were such a bad thing! I love those little boogers!

They didnt really tell me anything. I just read it on the sign.

Yeah! They come in such a variety of colors and I love it. My oldest one is like a little puppy. The only thing I've hated about EEs is that sometimes you have to wait for your egg! I had to wait 31 weeks for my first green egg

Wow! Mine always are the first to lay!! All chickens are different! The thing I don't like is that mine tend to be in the shy side

I'm hoping my new one will be an early layer. Yeah, my girl is shy, but she still follows me around like a puppy. She's not fond of being picked up, but she's the first to come to me for treats

Hatcheries don't sell true Ameraucanas, however they label their EE's as such, usually by spelling it "Americana".
