Ameraucana roosters in CT (near NY), Free to great home UPDATE!

Hmmm,

Justusnak - over 2000 posts, well respected, well known, polite, always willing to help, obviously an animal lover, should I go on???

"She wasn't truthful with me" Huhhh?

"Mom23chicklets did her homework on this one." What???

I see no foundation or basis for either one of those statements.

I'm thrilled Mom23 found a home for 3 roosters.

Please you guys, I'm not trying to say anything bad about justasnak! Even in the short time I've been a member I can see that she is very supportive and helpful to the other members. And now I know she runs a rescue farm.

Please don't take sides and pit us against one another. BYC is a friendly place where we share our hobby/love for chickens. My stomach is in a knot now seeing how this thread is going.

I'm sorry I even said anything. . .

No worries Mom23. This was obviously a MINOR misunderstanding. You didn't
want your chickens to be eaten. I had to give away 20 this year and I insisted they
go to a "no-eat" home.

One reality chicken owners need to face is culling is a neccesary evil if you have
more than a few birds. A chicken may get sick or injured, turn evil like the case
of the roosters, or there may just be too many of one breed. This is flock
management.

Un-tie your stomach. All is well.
