Is this guy a wheaten or blue wheaten. He looks like a blue to me but the person I got him from said he was a wheaten. Thanks!

I don't see a pic, but if there is any black on the bird it is not a blue wheaten.

Ok I thought I had it figured out who was laying my first Am pullet eggs. But Now I am not so sure.

#1 was laid tuesday, #2 wednesday.. and I was so impressed that the size had improved that fast.. then #3 today and it is much closer to #1. I am kinda thinking I have 2 girls laying. I have 1 wheaten and 1 black that are the oldest. Here is my guess... #1 and #3 are from my black girl and #2 is a wheaten egg. So exciting! You know the saying "a watched pot never boils"? I totally did not expect eggs, wasn't even looking for them, didn't even give them a nest box (till tuesday night) and what do you know?? Two girls laying! whoo hoo! I will know for sure when there are two eggs in the box on the same day.

Oh yeah.. egg on far right is from 18 month old EE for comparison.

Got my first Ameraucana egg this evening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DH found it when he was closing up for the night.
It has no shell though, just the membrane. I hope it has a shell on it next time.

It's the little one on the left next to the regular-sized OE.

I got my first blue egg....well actually THREE blue eggs today....I think I missed one of them in the separate nest box yesterday. Usually no one lays in that box so I don't check it every day. Guess I will now, cuz I got THREE blue eggs and I only have TWO blue egg layers.
