Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I haven't posted on this thread before, I mostly hang out on the Consolidated Kansas thread, but I'm hatching out my first Ameraucana chicks today & I just wanted to share some pics of them. I have 4 hatched out so far & I'm excited about it. Here are some of them:

You can see they were still drying off in this pic, they're getting fluffier now. New Easter chicks, what can get better than that?

Congrats. Lovely as can be! Thanks for sharing.

Here are photos of three Lavender Ameraucana chicks hatched from dak's eggs on 3/28/12. I'm in love!

Happy Easter, all!

Too cute. Not bad for a seven egg incubator and being misdelivered and lost by the PO!

So I posted this in another thread, but still don't understand the differences between Americaunas and EE's.... sorry for the ignorance. I have two dark colored, what I was told was Americaunas, and a lighter colored one. The lighter one looks like it has blueish leg color, and the other two look different. Could someone please point out a few of the differences of the picture I'm posting. Thanks, I don't mind if I ended up with EE's, but would like to know what to look out for in the future. I know a lot of people say Americauna and mean EE.

They aren't laying yet, they are only about 3 months old so I can't tell by eggs. I understand that they are EE's but wondered if someone could point out specifics like wing shape, coloration, etc....
