I am very intrigued by this project myself. I have decided to use Blue Sumatra hens. The lacing on the hens is amazing. When I get some pics I will post them, and you'll see why I decided to use them. The other big reason I decided on the Blue Samatras is because I had zero leads on nice Blue Andalusians. I tried to email somebody in Spain to see if I could get some eggs shipped, because that is how serious I am about it, and I never heard back. I wrote it in English, and Spanish. So it wasn't because of the language. I also like that the Sumatra's have pea combs, I have never seen this cross, so it will be interesting.
Join the ameraucana breeders club and work on it with us! I don't think anyone has talked about bantams. You could work on blue bantam ameraucanas using your bantam andalusian.
I think a lot of breeds of birds that are blue are supposed to have lacing but do not. ( Not to be confused with self blue or Lavender.) I also discovered that blue marans are supposed to be laced but at present only have edging. It is now my mission... laced birds of the world unite! lol
Ok but really, this is my pet project. Laced blue ameraucana.
