Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

If any wheaten experts can have a look at my chicks and help with colors.... gender too if you can, but color is what I am most wanting a guess.... as these are really my first chicks that may be blue, I would just like to ID the Blues and Blacks so I know what I am looking for.

One more hatch and I am DONE for a few months. I think the next hatch will just have Lavs and Splits.

Oh my gosh! As soon as I hardly have time to be online this thread starts burning up. 5 pages of posts in 1 day? Dang its like the marans thread. lol!!
I remember when we only had one page of posts a week.
Dang I wish I wasn't so crazy busy I could read all these posts. lol Gonna have to catch up later I guess.

The comb, it is pretty well defined already. Most pullets have no comb at that age.

Yes. Well with all due great respect for your expertise and experience, I do hope you're wrong. <wink> If however she is a "he", "he" will be loved. "He" is a wonderfully sweet chick. This chick has never shown any male behaviors [standing tall, chest bumping, being in front, being vocal---none] and is very mellow. So if she is a "he", "he'd" be lovely and loved. :) Thanks for your thoughts! I hope she's a she.... ;) We'll know soon I guess.

ok, everybody! EAT!! (2 and a half week old lavender Ameraucana)

Everytime you post a pic that shows your set up all I can say is WOW!!!

Do you have more pictures? I'd love to see more!!! We are just in the process of designing our set up and yours looks so nice and well thought out. You can feel free to PM me if you feel it's too off topic for this thread. (Although I'm having trouble imagining anyone not wanting to see!)
