You may believe she is "Ameraucana". You may have been told she is "Ameraucana". But you would be wrong. If you took her to a show, she would be DQ'd. She does not fit any of the described Ameraucana colours.

I have a bunch of birds that look just like her. Sold to me as "Ameraucanas". But I have been educated since. They are Easter Eggers.

I encourage you to visit .... http://www.ameraucana.org/ for more information. Many of us had to learn the hard way that not all birds sold to us as "Ameraucanas" really were Ameraucanas. I hope you will take the time to educate yourself.

She is an EE... I have had several that look just like her. People often sell EE as Ameraucanas some know they are not, some don't. Ameraucanas only come in certain colors and she is not one of those colors. Even if she is PURE breed because of her coloring she is an EE. EMBRACE your EE they are great birds. Most of us on this thread have both.

She looks exactly like my first two hens, who were lovely Easter Eggers. You should enjoy her for what she is: a pretty, cross-bred bird who will likely give you beautiful and plentiful blue/green eggs. My EEs (and OEs) lay circles around my pure Ameraucanas.

I have a pullet that I purchased from a local breeder as an Ameraucana, but she has feathered in with a black birchen pattern. That means she's really an EE, right? I also have a lavender from the same breeder. (Sorry, no pic yet)
Well, black birchen isn't a recognized color for the Am breed, so yes, that would probably qualify her as an easter egger, not an Am. It's not just the hatcheries that sell EEs as Ameraucana, lots of people breed EEs and call them Am's because either they haven't taken the time to educate themselves or they are deliberately trying to get one over on people because Ameraucanas are more rare and thus more 'valuable'. I have both EEs and an Am, and I love both. I can say though that 9 times out of 10 EEs will lay much more often than Ams so I don't see the big deal over some people not liking EEs, they are wonderful birds, the friendliest in my flock in fact. I CAN understand true Am breeders getting upset over a sub par breeder passing off EEs as Ams though. Would love to see some pics!

EE. Just because you read something online, doesn't make it true. Please refer to this site. there will be pictures of the accepted AmerAUcana varieties. Also, leg color should be slate or black, not green/willow as in your picture.

Here's a few pics of my almost 6 month old Ameraucanas in the grow-out pen...comments/critiques welcome!

I didn't see where anyone responded to your post...I wish I could offer a critique, but I'm pretty new to Ameraucanas. I have been reading as much as I can and culling my own birds for what I know to be major faults, but I'm still learning. Maybe once I get my SOP in I can offer more. I hope that some of the experienced people on this thread will chime in because it would really help me as well!
