Lark Rise

Unfortunately despite all the nice comments you have received about this Roo, I hate to inform you that he has too many faults and would probably be disqualified at a show. I recommend that you remove him from your stock and send him to me. I will be kind and give him a nice forever home.![]()
You can't blame me for trying![]()
He is absolutely stunning!
I have done that as well with my birds in the past but this year going forward. I am going to keep extra roo's to get the best.Lark Rise, you have a very nice looking BW cockerel there. Very nice indeed. And, for those who know me, I'm pretty hard on birds when somebody asks me to critique their WBS bird. But I do so not to demean anyone's bird but rather so folks can learn. That's all.
That being said, there's the obvious like wanting to see a full colored beard with no white. The leg color might be a little light but it's really not bad. One thing, and this is just a sticker for me, is that I do see at least one tailfeather with quite a bit of red in it. I like to see completely clean tailfeathers with no red in them. He looks to have exceptionally clean hackles with little to no black in the webbing but I may see a slight black ticking or two. Size look good, Type looks good (thought a picture is only one snapshot in time so Type is really hard to tell for sure), there's full-colored wingbows, primaries and secondaries. I don't think the comb is overly large and I personally would not be too concerned about it.
All in all, I think he's one of the nicer BW's I've seen in a long time. Now, you've got me missing my boy! I got rid of him this year because I thought I'd wind up with something better. Judging from what I'm seeing come up, I'm not so sure now.
God Bless,
