Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I have a question for you all. . . When and if you're buying Ameraucana hatching eggs advertised as a nice, vibrant, true blue - Should you get eggs that look like this?

I was told they're "blue" by the seller, but I seriously see pale green eggs. . . Anyone else think these are green, not blue? I'm curious. I don't currently have any "blue" eggs to compare them with, ( just more green ones. . . which look almost identical) but I know they aren't blue because, well, they're green. . . And even the bluest are a blue-green. I've seen true blue eggs even here in this thread. I'm rather disappointed - Would you be?

Understand that I'm basing an opinion based on homework rather than experience as a breeder , but I would be happy with the color quality of most of those eggs .

Some do look a little on the green side- but I don't think they're too bad. Here's a pic of some that I got that I loved (yes it's a crappy pic, but all I have) They were pale, but definately blue

Well the part I just don't get is that all the photos advertised from the seller, as well as some from buyers, all show true blue eggs. . . And mine are green.

I guess I'll just see what comes out of them. I put the best of them in my better incubator, and the rest in my old incubator.
