I just let go of my boy yesterday and I'm regretting it fully. He was just too submissive and would not leave the coop. I need a boy to watch the sky for me. My older hens did not respect him at all and picked on him. He was over breeding my submissive hens and they were super stressed with complete bare backs.

The people who bought him seemed to be very pleased to have a nice boy. He produces a beautiful color egg as well.

I have wheatens in the incubator right now that are the most beautiful eggs I've ever seen. I hope I'm able to hatch them in a few days.

Right now I have 3 hens. Here are the eggs they lay.

I think this is the same bird.... I can get you better pics if you want... I have two, wheaten roo over black hen.... But the are black with red/brown bleed through.... Kinda 'mossy'' I think... But I am a complete noobie at describing colors... The pic was at 12 weeks, they are now 14/15

I know this is the only place I can post this and have anyone appreciate it and not think me too much of a prim jerk: I hate it when people try to talk up their AmerIcaunas... If you KNOW what you are doing you would spell it the RIGHT WAY. They can't be too serious or professional about their breeding if they can't even spell it right. How is anyone who wants to learn going to know what's true and what isn't if folks who hold the pretense of knowing are passing out wrong information to make a buck!? Can you tell this really irritates me. Thank you for the room to vent.

I know how you feel. I get on the what breed or gender? forum to se and classify breeds for people, because I find it fun and entertaining to see all the different chicks and chickens,but anyways. almost everyone that post americanas(people almost always spell it with an I) or ameraucanas really have EEs and when I try to tell them only about 25 % of them accept it and are okay with it or happy about. The rest are stuck in denial.
