I do not want to cause any hurt feelings, but I am curious. Why is the cross beaks sex important? Are you intending to use it for a breeding program?
If it is otherwise a healthy and happy pullet why could it not be a layer of nice blue eating eggs?

I suspect that if it is a girl it could be in the layer flock - but if it is a boy....
To me the comb looks like a pullet right now, very narrow and I think at this age my boys showed 3 rows of peas.

My guess is boy based on the short tail.I know it isn't a 100% accurate but it is what I use early.
No hurt feelings.I would not breed him/her, because some of its offspring could have crossbeaks. I always have room for more pullets, but not always for cockerels. When I have extra cockerels I will put them in extra pens by themselves, but I only have so many extra pens. Also what phage said. If she was a pullet at least I would get some nice blue eggs from her.I do not want to cause any hurt feelings, but I am curious. Why is the cross beaks sex important? Ok I will try and keep track and thanks! One thing that I did notice and keep track of was the size of the legs, the boys did have bigger legs and the width of the comb. The girls were very narrow and shorter length. Good luck they are cute chicks!
