About the lavender...did the colour came from anther breed? I taught lavender came from a diluted black then blue? If so, it's not supposed to be consider EE but a AOC? No? Or I understood nothing about genetic wich is a BIIIIG possibility :p

I have a question about the color on some of my blue wheaten pullets. I have been working on producing clean hackles, which I have made a lot of progress on, but my question is about the contrast between the hackle and body color. Is the body color too light?

Not the best pictures, which make her body color look a bit lighter than it really is~ Truer to color in the first photo.

Chickee!!!!!!! She is beautiful. I love her! She has awesome leg color too!!!! I am so proud you have gotten clean hackles! Way to go!

It is also hard to get that much color in their tails, so I am very pleased. Thanks to the breeding stock from Pips&Peeps and Paul Smith, who have put years into breeding Ameraucanas to the standard, I have been able to produce some quality birds

WOW I love her! I would take eggs from her in a second!

chickee,,,I agree with everyone's opinion of this marvelous pullet

May I ask what was your approach to removing the incorrect hackle color and getting that magnificent tail? Even with the high quality stock I can only assume you did lots of hatching and lots of culling, please share your approach

thanks
Dan
