Just wanted to show off a few Blue Wheatens and Wheatens that I hatched out from Jean's eggs. They will be 12 weeks tomorrow.

It looks like a single to me too, I mentioned it when I dropped them off. I had a couple split pullets that had a definite single comb and sold them as layers this winter. But, since these are still in the "project" phase, more anomalies will pop out.

I had some black chicks from the splitXsplit pen hatch out with buff around the face.... so FYI to all who got eggs from that pen, those will be pet or cull birds.

I remember you mentioned one had a single comb, I don't mind one bit if that makes it a pet quality bird, I just hope she's a girl. One of the blacks has a lot of white around the face, it looks so cute and reminds me of a panda bear.

I remember you mentioned one had a single comb, I don't mind one bit if that makes it a pet quality bird, I just hope she's a girl. One of the blacks has a lot of white around the face, it looks so cute and reminds me of a panda bear.

It's probably a girl, it would be turning pink by now and as I remember it was a yellowish fleshy color when I dropped them off.....
