As far as knowing who the originators are, she did not get back to me on that subject. It made me question the validity of her birds a bit... I'm going to give them a good look over before I hand her the cash this evening, plus I plan on asking the question again, directly. So we'll see!
Yes, slate legs and the beaks are usually a white color with a blue cast. "Horn" is a wide range of color; I picture the different shades you see on cattle horns. They are never yellow.

These were bred up from D'anvers and OEGB. (single combs)
I haven't gotten a clean faced one yet either. Some a little lacking in the muff dept but never clean. Just single combs pop up here and there. A work in progress.
As for egg color. The splits lay a very pretty color (about a B2 on the egg chart), Lavs are a very light bluish/greenish/grey (about a C6) , and then my EE's is defiantly green. I working on color so again a work in progress.
well if i got A GOOD WHITE AMERAUCANA AND BREED IT TO MY WHITE EE THAT QUALIFIES TO BE AN AMERAUCANA EXCEPT FOR THE YELLOW BEAK, COULD I GET BETTER QUALITY AMERAUCANAS
