This has happened to a few friends of mine lately from other breeders and they always call me annoyed-like I am the quality control person or somethin!
It's easy to happen, if they have different pens, diff roosters, maybe they had a pred attack on the pen you got eggs from, maybe this years layers just dont have the egg color their moms had bc the daddy rooster has green egg genes, etc..
So what would I do? They MIGHT have a good blue egg color from the roo and lay better color than you got AND they might be good type, so dont fret.
If you have the space grow them out, BUT MARK THEM!! So you dont get them mixed up with the better color layers.
If you end up with a bunch and the color isnt there when they lay you wont have a problem selling the extras. People love tinted layers, esp sweethearts like Ameraucans!!
