Those are very pretty pullets!!!

most are pale but 1/4 look more like araucana eggs, more green than blue. I think I might just mark which come from the blue eggs and which come from greenish and unless any that come from the greenish are phenominal I will cull them as EEs ? thoughts?

..hadn't noticed it until today but the last week has been so busy with a house full of people I never really fooled with them other than to make sure everyone had feed.I know it was straight beaked before that.

It's 1 of my 2 lavenders so far all the other kids are doing great..ugly chickie stage but so cute..scared of their own shadow literally. There is one little black that my son has adopted it cuddles in his lap for as long as he will hold it..I can never find it but he does every time.

This has happened to a few friends of mine lately from other breeders and they always call me annoyed-like I am the quality control person or somethin!
It's easy to happen, if they have different pens, diff roosters, maybe they had a pred attack on the pen you got eggs from, maybe this years layers just dont have the egg color their moms had bc the daddy rooster has green egg genes, etc..
So what would I do? They MIGHT have a good blue egg color from the roo and lay better color than you got AND they might be good type, so dont fret.
If you have the space grow them out, BUT MARK THEM!! So you dont get them mixed up with the better color layers.
If you end up with a bunch and the color isnt there when they lay you wont have a problem selling the extras. People love tinted layers, esp sweethearts like Ameraucans!!

Should I be getting worried about this one? he/she will be six weeks old in a few days, and I noticed a couple of days ago that her comb is looking a bit pink. This one is bigger than the other lavender one, and the most skittish of all of them. She's convinced I'm going to eat her if I try and catch her, but caught on really quick that when I sit there with my hands out I've got something yummy and will be one of the first to run over and start gobbling treats out of my hand. s/he is just beautiful, but that pink colour is making me worry that maybe she is turning out to be a he.

the comb doesn't look like it is getting any bigger lately, just pinker

I tried to get a good full body shot, they sure don't hold still for very long!

One of the black ones looks like its comb is just a teensy bit pinkish too, but she just wouldn't hold still long enough for me to get a picture.
