That's pretty common Clair

I do love my EE's though!

How do you know if they are pure? The lady I bought them from has show birds. She breeds them and blue splash marans. All her birds were separated. They all have the slate b lueish legs. Is there any other way to tell? I know three may be roos. The two grey ones and the one with all of black. Only because of the three row comb. Does that mean for sure they are boys?
They don't appear to be pure Ameraucanas. Colors are off.

I'm seeing in order: 2 male blue wheatens, one male wheaten. One female splash wheaten, second female I don't know what it is, third female is either wheaten or blue wheaten. I can't see the color in the wings or tail very well.

Thankx. Seems im getting mixed answers though. She told us that she had wheaten and blue wheaten. So at least that matches up with what she says she sold us

This is "Elizabeth" the rooster that started crowing at 3 months. He was too pretty to be a girl from the start.
Here he is at about 2 weeks old. I am wondering if the "eyeliner" look is indicative of a male.

They don't look like wheaten. The color is wrong. Only the top one looks close and that's a maybe on splash wheaten.

what are they then? Any ideas?
Easter Eggers. This has happened to many of us. We bought "Ameraucanas" but they weren't. This is a common practice and most of the people selling do not know the difference. Some do know, but continue to mislable. Ameraucanas come in a few very distinct colors. You can check this out at the ABC website: ameraucana.org/scrapbook.html . Yours will probably lay green or blue eggs. Out of my five, two layed blue, two layed blue/green and the third layed a pretty brown egg. I loved them, (I have only two left, thanks to a hawk), as much as I do my pure Ameraucanas that I bought this year from a reputable breeder.
