Ok quoting is not working.
MrsBachBach I'm only working on Wheatens.
Trying to learn to concentrate on a fewer Varieties. I believe I can do better work that way. By cutting out the blue & Splash I have more room and time to dedicate to my Project stuff.

Jerry I'd love some of those lav/blacks. Year after next, lol...see above!!

Working on a couple of cuckoo projects and a lacing project...don't have all the pens I need already!! I'm planning more limited but focused breeding and hatching.

No more breeds...no more varieties...Fight the urges, lol. Saw some gorgeouse RIR at a show and thought I'd love to have some of those....threw the name away the next day, it's a hard promise to keep to myself.

Silver laced really sounds fun though....and I love a buff columbian bird... Wonder how that'd look with muffs & beard?

Depends on what is available . White can hide about any color . Many whites are based on black . I think I would try a silver laced over black . Some silver will show in both sexes . Lacing will show with 1 copy . It will be poor lacing . I tried golden laced over buff . That would work for silver also . I started the golden laced for someone and turned it over to them . Have not had a update in year . So not sure how the project is going .

Thanks. On another note, what's the easiest way to figure out if my white rooster is dominant or recessive white?

Cross him to any other color . Recessive will give you all colored chicks . Dominant will give you white chicks with colored spots . Ameraucana are usually recessive white .

Well, I currently have a Wheaten cock and a Wheaten cockeral too. I'm torn who to keep right now though. Will have to let one or the other go before next year. I'm out of extra pens .
