Based on the theory going around about tail feathers, I'd say 1 and 2 are pullets and 3 is a roo... But I'm a newbie, so someone correct me if I'm wrong...

The father is a blue wheaten and the mom is a regular wheaten. so yes there's a chance that one of them is a splash which would throw me off a bit. I know for sure there is one boy in there (the dark one)Don't shoot me... and hopefully someone else more experienced will chime in and correct me....
(I have only raised one set of Wheaten chicks)
They ALL look like boys to me. Just a blue wheaten, a black wheaten, and a blue or maybe splash wheaten.

the dad is a blue wheatenEarly, but I'd say yes, you are correct... my guess so far is 1 and 3 pullets, and 2 is roo... regular wheaten, yes?
I didn't look at their tails because it depends on the breed, genetics...etc but now that mention it there is a difference in their tails. In some of my easter eggers some have huge tails and they're the lean ones (usually the fat chicks are boys)Based on the theory going around about tail feathers, I'd say 1 and 2 are pullets and 3 is a roo... My guess is #1 #2 look to be pullets, but the bottom chick has dark feathers coming in on his hackles.
Those are EE's... leg color is greenish instead of slate... blue Am's should have very dark blue legs (slate) with no green tint... and it does look like the front one is pullet and back one is roo... also the roo's color is off... leakage can happen, but the rusty color in wings shouldn't be there... they are very nice birds, tho!I have a rooster that is an Ameraucana mix. Can anyone tell me what they think this roo is for sure. When the owner of chickens was at my place he said the roo was totally ameraucana. Tell me if you think this is true. I have blue chicks and they have the characteristics of A's like the whiskers or muffs I call them, beards, etc. I am posting these picsThe first one I put the wrong picture on. The second one is the back one is the roo and the front I'm hoping is a pullet.

and see what you think? Do these look like Ameraucanas to you.
I'm just curious. I love the birds and if not A's they are EE's right? The white chick is a Leghorn mix.
eek!Alaskan you seem to know alot about chickens. Maybe you can look at some of the pics i posted and tell me what you think. I'd love to get some input. These are my two favorites. I call him Pretty Boy and the next one Rambo. I'm hoping Rambo is a pullet. She is such a sweet bird. She comes up and sits by me on my bench and let's me pet her a little. Not a lot but a little. She's so sweet if she is a pullet I should name her Sweety pie. My middle daughter asked me yesterday, "Who do you like better mom, Your daughters or your chicks" I told her my chicks of course. She cracked up laughing! I of course was kidding.
I have a couple more pictures. One of my roo and one with the roo and my B.R. EE. Not positive about the B.R. but she has the tufts and little start of beard like an Amer.
3 rows of peas only tells that they definitely have a proper pea comb, not whether they are boys or girls... they are young and it is hard to tell from these shots, but going by the brighter pink combs, I'd guess that 1, 2, 3, and 5 are cockerels... Profile pics and natural pics showing them walking around help more, imo... nice birds...Hi all, I have some 5 and 6 week old Blue Americauna chicks. I bought these straight run, from Justin Smithey, just north of Calhoun GA. I'm thinking he told me his breeding stock came from Paul Smith??? Anyway, buying straight run I would like some pointers as to determine cockerel or pullet. I've read through a lot of the pages here there and everywhere. The biggest of the chicks actually started showing the comb 'bumps' if you will about 2 1/2 weeks. I'm not trying to jump the gun, if 3 of them are roosters I'll keep one, give one to the daughter/grand daughter who currently doesn't have a rooster at all, and see if I can sell the other one. Here's a few pics and what I think, anyone jump in with what you think please! Did the best I could do by myself, trying to take squirming chicken selfies isn't that easy, HA If the 3 wide comb is a true indication, I have a few boys around, LOL #1![]()

ok so there we are, some of you more knowledgeable ones, see if you agree with me. I think 1, 2, and 5 are roosters. The last two, don't have quite enough bumps yet to tell, but it looks like both of them are pullets. What say ye? and thanks!
