For that kind of money, be patient and get exactly the birds you want. I wish I had taken more time when I was just getting started. I didn't realize how many people were keeping chickens much better than I could find locally. The birds in the pic look pretty good to me, but I'm new to this breeed. I would be more concerned with the seller's attitude. Someone with quality birds and eggs would be more than willing to provide pictures. Unless you are set on buying adult birds, I would highly recommend ordering directly from Paul SmithI want to buy those birds, but the seller is just stressing me out. It's been like pulling teeth to try and get her to send me any additional pictures, and then the ones she does send are horrible quality and too dark to see anything. I asked her to send more pictures... That I wanted to see a close up of the face & comb, chest, legs, and a picture of the eggs her hens lay. She sent me one picture of the comb. And said "the eggs are smaller than my Marans". No pics of the eggs. I hope she doesn't take it as rude, but I told her I've never spent this kind of money on birds before and if she wants to sell them she will have to send me better pictures. Makes me leery... But could just be my anxiety.
