Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Just wanted to post some updated pics of "Yin Yang". My splash cockerel. He is almost 14 weeks old now.

I have a whole slew of wheaten and blue wheaten pairs for sale that I hatched from the Garners' eggs. They have beautiful birds.

They are really nice! I have to go back and get more baby girls. I forgot that I should get extras so I call sell off all the extra roos I have. Duh!

I got a lovely girl from Wayne Meredith's eggs that they hatched also while I was there. She has a gimpy foot- but I don't care. She's so fluffy

Kind of an odd position for a pic- but they were freaking out when I let them otu of the dog crate

The ends of her tail feathers are broke off, and her back is partially naked. She's so soft though- and clean compared to my girls. She'll probably end up wth a dirty face like the others after she's free ranging. The set up at Garner's is really nice- but it wouldn't work here with all the racoons. I can't even think about using chicken wire!

Thank you Happy Mtn. He really is awfully handsome. Looks like he may have a bit of a "strong presence" also. How old was he when he began to get the color in his wings, neck and hackles? I have what is supposed to be a splash wheaten rooster at what I'm guessing is about 12 weeks, but he is still just about all white right now. I'm beginning to wonder.....

Do you have a pic? I didn't have him as a baby, btu when I got him he wasn't yet crowing. He now has some dark blue/greenish feathers in his tail. His crow sounds like a banty cochin

He's not the dominant roo- poor guy's only girlsfriend is a white rock. They're like an old married couple.
