Here are mine. I have 5.
What do you think of my roo Sampson?

He's a beautiful little boy..I may forget I'm chick sitting soon
He needs to live with the Araucana's I'm hen sitting for you..wait until you see their eggs they are so pretty.I have his black brother they are so cute..going to cross mine with my blue frizzle bantam cochin

The banties are so cute! What are their eggs like? Are they really tiny?
I have a bantam blue roo that Holly is holding for me until next week. Can't wait to see him
I won't have any ameraucana hens for him though- he's going to have a harem of cochins and araucana bantams.
Mine I get are tiny! They are really round too!! I'd post a pic but my egg color is less than stellar! To give you a comparison (if you have ever saw one) they are smaller than a Bantam Rhode Island Red egg!
Have any of you used Sweet PDZ and had any problems? Several of my 10 week old chicks are getting bare spots on their backs. I don't notice any fighting/plucking and am wondering if because I mixed it with their wood shavings and they dust bathe that the PDZ is too harsh on their skin. I have a pen with shavings and then another with the PDZ under the wire of the pen where those birds don't come in contact with it. I haven't noticed any feather issues with the non-contact pen. I moved one of the chicks from the contact pen to the non-contact pen so I guess I will have an answer soon enough??
Zeolites were formed from volcanic activity millions of years ago, and it should be stressed, that all zeolites have unique characteristics and abilities. The clinoptilolite (Clino) that comprises Sweet PDZ is one of the very best at ammonia absorption and odor neutralization.
It does miracles for smelly chicken pens. Same principle as DE.
hi all, I thought this woul be the best place to get an answer about my white ameraucanas, I got a pair that were supposed to be two roos, but I had my suspicions and I was right it was a pair the ladie said they came from pips and peeps, so they should be good quality birds I know they look real good to me, but here is my problem, I have been hatching chicks and getting what looks like splash and blue, is this normal and will the turn white when they start to feather up?

All the best whites I have seen have grey or blue grey down with yellow undertones and they feather in white. It just means that they are "silver gene" whites and won't yellow as much in the sun as wheaten based whites. Or at least that is the case with white Faverolles.
