Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I lost her this morning. Snow White died in my arms 6 days after her surgery. She was the best little girl! Now to get over this and get ready for rotator cuff surgery monday. I have enough work to keep me buisy for a month. I just have to get it all done in 4 days.

Noooo! Oh, I'm so sorry.

I'll be praying for you with the upcoming surgery. Please let us know how that goes.

Yep, we get it! Please let us know how your surgery goes!

The date for my surgery has finally been set. 9/14 8:00am. It is a 4-5 hour surgery, so I'll probably miss lunch. :) ICU for 24 hours, then I can get moved to a regular room. If all goes well, I can be home in 3 days.

Thank you, Pray all goes well for you Susan and a quick recovery! My surgery won't be very long but I was told 6-9 month recovery time. I plan on working with my one good arm the next day.

I hope it is a painless recovery, but I know how shoulder surgery goes. ugh...I'll be thinking of you. I can't believe you're going to be back at work the next day! I admire your tenacity. :)

I am hoping that my surgery doesn't ruin all my show plans for this fall. I even asked the surgeon if we could just postpone it until after the first of year, so I wouldn't miss the 6 shows I had planned. He just laughed and said it wasn't an option. I know the show in Inverness, 4 weeks after surgery, is out of the question, but I'm still hoping to go to the small show just 45 minutes away from here at the end of October. So, we'll see how it all goes. I'm really excited about some of the youngsters I'm growing up this year and can't wait to get them out! lol

I thought I would put a picture of my Paul Smith Ameraucanas first eggs. The three small ones are PS. The larger one is from a sapphire and one end of the season Black Copper Marans egg.
