Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Well, as much as I hate to tout my own horn....

This past weekend was our SE District meet at Forsyth Fowl Fanciers, in Winston-Salem, NC. Aside from any wins, losses, or draws, it was just great sitting around and chatting with old friends, meeting new friends, seeing new members in the ABC. Edited to add: There were 28 Large Fowl and 22 bantams entered.

The camaraderie in this SE group is just so fantastic. Here is the group:

Heading out to Knoxville this coming weekend!

It is a great group! I know I'm biased, but I think we have the best District in the country. LOL

Well, that is one of the Max, Jrs, but interestingly enough, he was not the one I thought would do well. The "keeper" Max, Jr, who is now named Sebastian, placed 2nd in the cockerel class. Oh well, one judge's opinion on one day, ya know.

I'm not saying for sure, but someone else might get the privilege of naming this guy....

That is so Awsome! I just love my Wheaten/Blue Wheatens that I got from you. They are my favorite and lay nice Blue eggs!

Has any one heard of the practice of breeding black into their line of silvers from time to time to improve certain traits?
