Nope, sorry, Woodstock is an Easter Egger. She's still pretty though.

Wish I knew how to make my Ameraucanas lay. Last year at this time, they were laying like crazy. This year, more birds, less eggs.

Here too. I just switched over to flock raiser and got a big bag of black oil sunflower too. Hoping to get everybody through thier molts more quickly. I actually had to buy cooking eggs the other day.

Mommna-hen- I have a little roo that sounds just like yours. He's 1/2 ameraucana 1/2 orloff, with beautiful butter colored hackles. Not sure about the lacing though. I'll try to get a pic.

BTW- I was planning to work on spangled or porcelain birds- but with the way thing are going f1s are still quite a ways off.

I also had to buy eggs last week! WT???

I am feeding so many hens

...cheaper to buy eggs than to feed BUT not as fun.

I'm trying to be patient.

Here is an updated picture of the feather legged Ameraucana. (the one in the middle) How does her coloring look to you guys? I've never seen Ameraucana as chicks before, but I'm thinking the one on the left is obviously Blue Wheaton, and the feather legged one is Wheaton - I think she is also clean-faced, though. My little genetic onomoly -

One on the left is a wheaten and the other one is a rare ginger colored wheaten. I wouldn't breed either one of them.
But they'll be nice for blue eggs.
