Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I would really love to see someones red am's project....I loved seeing miss prissy's red orp project, that was a while ago.....I don't know if she is still working on that?

Yeah if I did that I was going to use Bantam Buckeye hens with a Bantam Ameraucana rooster. The muffs should be dominant and the only hurdles would be skin and leg color, egg color and the actual color! LOL

Oh, is that ALL? LOL

I picked up my new Paul Smith cockeral today . Although I'm often a bit of an outspoken critic about breeding for show wins only ; I've got to admit I was kind of tickled when he took BV & RB at the Eastern Iowa meet

Looks like a handsome guy. Do you have any closeups?

Not really , just this dark one with his head hidden , and this computer does not have a edit program . [ I took the pictures after I accepted him but before the judging took place in case you notice his card isn't marked LOL . ] I'll try to get some better pics in the future , but I've got a ton of stuff to do for the next week so ...............................

A pic of a white I liked bred by Anne Foley that also won . The pic of the John Blehm bred black that took BB did not turn out . All three birds were owned by Lori Waters .

I have two Wheaten Ameracauna hens from Peachick. The eggs are lovely, very pretty blue. One of them is trying to set a record for being the longest broody hen in the world.
