Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

pips&peeps :

An FYI,

I think I have hatched enough and set enough silver project eggs, so I put the silver breeding pen back together the other night. I should have pure silver ameraucana eggs available in about 2-3 weeks.

That sounds heavenly! I would absolutely love some!

OK this is my first venture into Americauanas. I find them quite friendly and not as skiterish as some other breeds I have. I was hoping for some Hens but this Weaton is driving me nuts with it's color changes. I was sure it was a hen last week and now I'm not sure............Whats everyone think??

This is my lonley little lavender. It's cute as a button but it's feathers never stay clean. always find it in the water dish. maybe thinks it's a duck.

I am getting a terrible glare on my computer from the light outside...so I may not be seeing these pictures clearly. I am not seeing muffs in your Lavender Ameraucana chick...was it born with a clean face?

Your Wheaten looks like a pullet to me.

There was fluff there when it was born but all the feathers that are coming in on the front of it are kind of funky right now. It definatly isn't showing the muffs and beards like the Wheaton is.

That being said the Lavenders are still a work in progress from what i'm told. The Wheatons are SOLID. There from John Blehm lines, that were imported into Canada Last year.
