pips&peeps :

Jean is sad.... one of my young geese just dropped over dead.

Waiting for a call back from the vet, it will cost $60-$100 to ship her to WADDL.

Sorry for your loss

I think that I could use an olive egger and another EE to pen with my Ameraucanas (Blue Splash and Lav).

These won't be used for breeding purposes, so either they will be penned with the Ameraucanas or I'll just put them in the assorted pen, if I have room in there. Hmm.... I don't think I do...

Silverduckwing,
Try PiPs&Peeps or one of the people that posted eggs on here for sale. But this is breeding season and only if someone is downsizing or getting out of that breed color will they respond. Just keep posting WTB and maybe you will get lucky. Chicks would probably be your best bet.
Sorry, also try the Ameraucana Breeders Club breeders list on their home page.

These are my first ameraucanas. The only thing I am sure of is that whatever sex I have, I have two of them. They are developing combs and feathers at exactly the same rate. I was SURE they were pullets until last week. Then they turned dark all of a sudden. Any chance they are still pullets and will molt into all lighter colored feathers? They hatched January 29th, so they are 4 and a half weeks old.

If they are boys, they will be very happy little cockerels. I just got 26 pullets for laying hens a couple of weeks ago.
