We're growing Quinoa this year too!

I planned on mostly using it for our consumption but it might be interesting to see how it may effect the egg color of the birds as well.

Yep, we're doing both Amaranth and Quinoa, both for our consumption and the poultry's. Going by what people say online about poundage per acre, I think we should get a minimum of 25 lbs of Quinoa this fall. Very exciting.

There has been some discussion on the ABC Forum about copper aiding in the blue content as well. I haven't tried it myself though so can't speak from personal experience.

OK....so here debating if I should become a member to the ABC. I mean.... I plan to become a member, but wondering if I should wait. At least until I can control my urge to buy eggs long enough to tell my dh, "Well it's only $12." That excuse hasn't been working that much any more because all the "Only $$$" that I have spent on hatching eggs, chickens, and chicken paraphernalia is starting to add up to a very scary amount.

Sigh

Anyways, I'm curious to know what type of information is in the ABC handbook that I might really NEED right now because it's very important to my breeding program....Yeppers, still trying to find an excuse to give hubby as to why we NEED to join.
