Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I been lurking in the back ground off n on on this thread and am now a happy chickie mama to my first blue wheaten Ameraucauna that hatched this afternoon. She has a hatchmate that is working her way out right now between rests and chirping. I am hoping all 5 eggs hatch, so far the other 3 have no pips.

My camera made the eggs look way lighter then they really are. Not sure if it was cause of the light glare on the plastic.

Aww how cute! I just did my first successful hatch of chicks. 10 out of 11 chicks. One is weak but we will see. Going to try to post a pic from phone. Any guesses on coloring? Moms were white blue (one light one dark) and splash. Dad is a black roo with beautiful red back.

Ameraucana or EE?

Sounds like the chicks are Easter Eggers, but the parents may have been true Ameraucanas. (if so the chicks are too, but being unrecognized colors, they're basically also considered EE's)

Hens are show Ameracaunas. The roo I got from a different breeder who was telling me the color is still being developed? Read something on the breed site about it, but......

Got 2 dark blue babies, one light blue, one yellow and buff, one creamy colored, then various shades of yellow with brown standard type back stripes
