Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

help! is this the lost variety .
Or if anyone knows where I can get more photo's to look at.
Also I messaged a few on the ameraucana club but does anyone know anyone In Northern California , or Nevada that raises these?
Brown-Red

I really don't know a lot of people that have brown-reds. You looked at the best spot to find that info, the ABC's website.

They are very rare. Have you checked the breeders list on the ABC?

This is Mike Gilbert with the ABC http://redstagacres.webs.com/. On the home page click on the photo gallery. The club page says he has Brown/Red bantams so maybe he can help you find large ones if that is what you want.

Shame the guy I got my Wheaten doesn't have any hens. He has an amazing BR rooster I wanted to come home with. I actually like the BRs... I could do an OH trip if he's close to the PA border... Now I am curious.

Someone needs to bust this variety out of obscurity and sell eggs around the county to anyone who wants them and has pen space.

If I can try them I would really like to try them. I have much focus on crele penedesenca and white empordanesa but one more wont hurt. Plus I can only imagine some of the olive eggers they would make with my crele penedesenca
