Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

Not sure about the down color. Wheatens I have hatched have always been yellow. I could not tell the blues from the blacks until their feathers came in. Hope someone with more knowledge pops in!

Hmmm, that's interesting because I was thinking the Wheatens I've hatched have always been white and the Blue Wheatens yellow.

God Bless,

Thank you! I was hoping for both colors! Now I'm praying for all or most female!

Hey everyone~!

I'm excited to start posting about my Blue Ameraucana babies soon! I'll post a video of when they start hatching and maybe some candling pictures when I take a look on day 14 and 18!

Nice to see so many beautiful birds- I hope mine will be half as beautiful as the rest of yours!
nice packing job !

so here are some Silvers I hatched from Jerry.
Thanks Jerry.
I am having a cheap bator issue and need a upgrade but 5 healthy cute chicks still managed to hatch.
Bad pic but tried my best.

well decided if Sauvi is indeed a male, hopefully Reis is just a a large combed female and I will be getting another female tonight so that will make a trio lol. I will try to keep him, but I have 2 other adult/juvenile roo's so hopefully they don't mind each other. Toulouse my polish is the only one I would worry about. He doesn't put up with any BS from anyone

I wonder if they got them from Denise? She packs just like that.

Congrats on the silvers, Hangtown Farms!
thanks. I pack similar but with bubble on the sides bottom and top. I got lazy though and started buying 4x7 bubble wrap pouches on ebay to save time and they work great. cost a little more but it was taking me forever to pack boxes. now just about 10 minutes.

Actually, I got them from Papas Poultry in Redding CA!

Amazing service, I ordered 5 eggs and got 4 extras! Not to mention that they were shipped priority and got to my house in excellent condition in less than 2 days!

Big props to this establishment, I know where I'll be going next time I want a batch of Ameraucanas :)
