I've done this cross before as well... the resulting hens are good layers of light blue eggs. Black Ameraucana rooster Blue Andalusian hen Am x Andy blue laced hen

Having fun hatching chicks from my own W/BW/SW Ameraucanas (Paul Smith x Pips&Peeps) plus another line (Cree) from hatching eggs I purchased to build up my flock. The W/BW/SW are my favorite color so far . . but I haven't gotten the Silvers that are on my list yet

Hello everyone haven't been on here much lately, but thought i'd get back on here catch up a lil and share pics of some of bantam varieties (i've shared some of my LF before).........White bantam are Jerry Segler lines, Lavenders and Slivers are John Blehm lines

They are lovely! Really taken with the Silvers, LF and bantam

Two of my ten Ameraucana eggs hatched

! Not too disappointed as they were shipped eggs. I can officially join the thread. They are either wheaten or blue wheaten.



The one on everybody's left has a black dot on "her" head. Does that mean anything? I sexed them using an old wives tale and got the black dot one to be a girl and the "normal" one to be a boy. We all know those wives tales can be fairly inaccurate sometimes but I hope it's correct this time

. I used both the hold them by their head one and the lay them on their back, rub their stomach one.
