Need a better picture of the comb. I would like to say pullet, but with the darker colors on the top of the wing and the comb looks a little wide to me although I cannot clearly identify 3 rows, it just may be a roo. How's that for sitting on the fence.
That's such a great story, never knew a chicken could be that tame. I do think some are more trusting than others. You're lucky.Well, she really came that way from the hatchery. We try to hold each of our chicks individually from day 1 to form strong ties. She just walked up to my hand & hopped in my palm the 1st time I put my hand in the brooder. She's always the 1st one to fly out of the brooder whenever the lid is opened. I have let her eat boiled egg yolk, plain greek yogurt, & oats out of my hand every day since she arrived. Once she's done pigging out, she always settles in for serious snuggles, until she falls asleep. They all love scritches on the back of their necks & head the most. Then it's her sissy's turn. She's 1 of 13. The chickens have eaten my whole summer away, LOL.
