How old is he? That looks like gold leakage to me. Males can change a lot between 8 and 16 weeks.
My "Blue" Ameraucana seems to be getting golden tipped wing feathers. Is this because he is not blue or because something is wrong? I just noticed it and am not sure if these are new feathers or if something would make his existing feathers change color.![]()
That is gold and silver leakage . Believed to be from not enough melanizers by some . Only shows on males . So females are the source . I am sure the breeder did not use a leaky male to breed . It means you have to test breed the females to find which hens are producing these males . Never use a leaky male to breed . In your case I would try another source .
