I have a few questions, this pullet is about 9 to 10 weeks. Her head and neck feathers are much darker than the body. Is that considered unfavorable? Should I work on getting the color and feathers to be more uniform when I hatch from these birds in the spring?

No. It is normal for the head to be darker in blues.

Just wanted to tell you guys, I emailed Paul Smith last night just to tell him how happy I was with the birds, and asked if he had any advice for a new breeder. I didn't expect a reply any time soon, but he sent back a long email last night with some great tips for breeding on a small scale, along with instructions and a chart for toe punches. What a nice guy
