His tail isn't quite as ruffled as it appears. There's a pretty stiff breeze blowing across him from behind in the second picture

I have been planning on keeping a blue boy because they are still pretty! But I should probably breed my blues to a black rooster.The first hatch was 14/20, and the blues were very dark, almost black, which is what I hoped for. I have 2 more sets due Valentine's week, and hopefully will have a few left over to grow out for myself to see how my pairings breed. I need to keep about 10 for myself, but it's hard to do when the chicks are paying for feed![]()
ETA: I wasn't thinking, you were asking how the chicks were. I sold them all to one woman, and haven't talked to her since. She's coming back to buy some d'uccle in a few weeks, so I should get an update then
