I'd really like to. I'd love to see how he compares to others, but I just don't have the time to cage train him. He will eat out of my hand, but he's not tame. With the hours I work, it's just tough to spend the time with him I would need to get him used to the confinement and being handled. I don't think plucking him off the roost and throwing him in a cage at 4AM would make for a good showing...
I may look at having a smaller pen or 2 just to raise some for show. I'd really like to have some ribbons to help get my name out there, but I really wouldn't have to win. I just want to meet some other breeders, see what they have, and what I should be working towards

Agreed! Visions of Sc wrangling a wild rooster are dancing through my head! Lol Especially when he went to pull him out! That would be one ****** Large fowl at that!

I ended up ordering 20. 8 blue wheatens, 7blacks and 5 blues

Great! When do you get them? I have been working in my chicken house today making two pens out of one. I will finish tomorrow after I get my screen door and some more wire. Then I will be able to separate my BBS and let my new black roo out of jail. I am sure he will be so happy and have some ladies to court as well. I thought I would get both sides done so I would have 4 pens, but the good weather is leaving along with my stamina.

I am so excited! That is good that you will have your pens just as you need them! If I run into trouble with my cockerels as they get a little older I may have a bachelor pad for them myself! But I sure do want to keep a blue rooster too! I'm going to have to work on taming down the boys that's for sure! Especially since I'm the one who deals with them.
