Lavenders don't have red leakage. With the lavender gene any red leakage would be changed to a straw or gold color because that is what the gene does.

I have seen this color many times on ee's over the years. She is not any recognized color and will not reproduce true 50% of the time.

This is my first year with breeder quality birds. I am having so much fun starting my 2 flocks of Smith birds, but I have a lot to learn, so that's why I wanted the clarification

I do not make pets out of mine, but I feed them meal worms or scratch two to three times a day as I go check for eggs or I let one group out to free range...or bring them in and let another group out. Not enough that they won't eat their laying pellets, but enough that they are very comfortable around me and I can easily get them back to their house. I have only one rooster that wanted to boss me around, but he found out quickly that he had to get a better attitude. Mine will talk to me, and they are easy to catch but I really do not want them being pets. The blacks and blues are a little flightier but the splash, lavs and bws are great. Take pictures. I remember when I got mine, I just wanted to sit around and watch them. I still do and they are grown.

here is my ameraucana Athena

No, no THIS is Athena. She is also an EE though, unlike your bird, not even remotely the color of an Ameraucana:

My BBS are developing well! Feb 16th they're due to hatch! I can't wait to have the first fluffy butts of 2016! Anyone have a cross between blue and silver Ameraucanas? (Easter egger chicks)

I took some Sunday, but I did not think they were very good. But let me look at them again.

Mrs BachBach, the pictures do not do these girls justice. The BWs have a wonderful personality, and there is more color in their tails than you see here. The splash is turning out to have wonderful color. She had been smaller than the BW girls but she is coming along quite nicely. I believe they are all 3 laying according to differences in the eggs, but I have not had 3 in one day. I will work on getting better pictures of them.
