Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

I am good thank you! You made me cry though but in a very good way. How sweet of you to remember my little hen..... she was my favorite. I have lost one chicken to a predator. It was her. I think of her a lot. Hope I have another little chatty hen in my new batch!

So sorry you lost your favorite little hen! I hope you get another special feather baby!

'The wheatens/blue wheatens that I kept out of this last hatch are very personable! I have one that comes running over and jumps up on my hand already. They are teaching the blacks to be more sociable. lol

I love it when they are friendly! In my Paul Smith batch the lavenders as a whole are the most friendly. There is one blue and she is very friendly. When I reach my arm in she jumps on my hand. Then she climbs up onto my shoulder and sits there!

The little miracle babies!! Went missing for 51 hours in the USPS, didn't show up in the system until 10PM Wednesday night, and didn't get delivered until Thursday morning. They were shipped on Monday. It was a day of prayer, nail-biting, and lots of phone calls to every PO between Aiken SC and Pat's home!

But they made it! All alive and cheeping and very thirsty!

I am so glad they are all doing good!

My little hen was a blue. My chickens free range in a very large area but if I was outside, she was with me.

Beautiful, healthy chicks. Great vigor even after the ordeal. Not one showing any signs of wear. Great job Samouv.

That was certainly a "Praise God!" moment when you called me and told me they were all alive. Folks - you should have heard the two of us on the phone! Half laughing, half crying with relief!

I was ready to get in the car and drive to Tallahassee to deliver the replacements!

Um, Mrs. Susan, they lost mine too. No need to drive all the way up here. We can meet in Columbia :D

Oh No!! Well, you know I offer live guarantee on all my chicks! Just let me find your paperwork...and, uh...hmm...seems to be some mix-up here. I can't find where I shipped you any chicks. When did you say I shipped 'em?
