Hard to tell at this age, but i would be suspicious of the colouration on the back of the one chick.

Looks like I'm going to end up with 9 wheaties from Peachick
Does anyone have a good way of marking young chicks to keep them separate? I'd like to be able to know these from the ones I'm getting this morning..

They are looking very nice!It is difficult to take pics when you have 66 chicks running around but here are some from yesterday before the storm. The Ams are about 8 and a half weeks.[COLOR=B42000]

Good save! Their cutie pies!I had 2 ameraucana hens setting. One was scheduled to hatch this Monday and the other Thursday. My splash hen got confused and left her nest Sunday for the others nest. I guess I should of separated them. This is my first time doing this. I couldn't get her back to her nest. So both hens were setting in the same nest. After 4 hour I took the eggs and put them in my backup incubator. Candle found 2 duds. The rest hatched 6 monday, and 2 this morning with just alittle help. My hen was a splash the roo a blue. So I think some are blue and splash. Here are pictures.![]()

************************ I ordered blue wheatens/wheatens from Max! Got them in March! You won't be disappointed. His birds are top quality and it shows! Their by far my favorites..I also got blues and blacks from himFollowing... I now have wheaten ameraucanas! I have 7 hatched (bought eggs from peachick) and 2 more pipped. I also have 10 wheaten/blue wheaten chicks that should be at the post office tomorrow from Max Strawn (mstrawn3). They're trekking from TX to MI and I'm very anxious to get them. I can't wait to share pics and learn more about this breed.
They look great!Cocoa puff @ 12 days old.![]()
And my two splashes @ 5 weeks old. Basil is my boy, Sage is my girl? Her comb is getting a bit of blush, but she also "squatted/presented" when I went to pick her up this evening, so who knows. Haha, I just noticed they have a very similar beak streak.
