Ameraucana thread for posting pictures and discussing our birds

The middle 4 are the pinkish colored ones. The top two are blue and the bottom one is white. I wish my camera phone picked up the real colors. Blue, Pinkish, White My favorite blue egg.
I see it more now, first pic second row, 3rd egg over looks more pink.

Thanks Saris..

Saris, their all beautiful. Seeing your splash kinda stings a little. The day we had to put our Patches down my sweet precious splash AM , Super Chick, died from sour crop.
I only wish I would have practiced surgery on her crop afterwards...
I feel that way when I look at her a bit too only because I had a splash boy that hatched with her that I had to put down when all my boys were reported. I'm sorry you lost your splash girl, she is among my faves.

It's such a hard color to capture.

I'm sorry girl. What did they have? How many did you lose?

Thank you.

They had ILT and MS. I only actually lost one bird to the disease. I culled one for a necropsy to find out why they were sick, the boys I lost because of the timing of the report. So all 6 of my boys were culled and donated to be eaten by a friend. They were completely recovered by the time they were culled but I couldn't move them off the property alive because of a state ordered quarantine.

I am vaccinating against LT now and I will breed only from birds that don't need antibiotics to remain healthy.
