Oh good grief, I hope she isn't an EE. I will have to check her feet in the morning, everyone is tucked up tight. Thank you for answering Pips & Peeps.

At least I know she is a bantam, I have been giving HER the stink eye for the past couple months! First I thought it was a roo, and then I catch her in the nest box and she lays and egg. Pretty blue green though they aren't getting any bigger.

Well now I have to catch her, she's a tricky one.

Thank you! Your kids are all doing great, a bit spoiled though, they keeping picking all the BOSS out of thier crumbles and looking at me like "More.... Puhlease?" while still having a feeder full of crumbles remaining. The blue made a run for it today when I was cleaning thier pen, luckily she took a step out realized she was alone and scurried back to the rest of the flock.

I just got an egg from one of my split lavs!!!! They haven't given me eggs for about 3-4 months. Hopefully it keeps up and I can start filling my long list of orders

Yahoo!

Speckledhen, the girls look gorgeous! Glad to see they are feeling more like themselves!

AHappychick love the egg photo.

cherylcohen That is quite an elegant looking EE, and nice eggs!

Thanks for the update I just PMed you for one because I missed this one. Ya they are crack (uh I mean cracked corn) and BOSS addict when they are freeranging whistle a bunch of short blasts and if they remember they will come running I had them really well trained

seriously if you ever need to catch them thats the way to go! They are certainly goofy birds

Hey all that BOSS makes them super shiney they know whats good for them! The blue girl has always been picked on a bit thats probably why she made a break for it she is a bit younger then everyone else. I am sure they are looking forward to their quarentine being over and getting to have a huge gang war with your current flock

Watch out those big girls certainly pack a punch! and the little ones are feisty little girls to.

Good Luck with them,
Henry

I do I do but I have to say I am having lots of fun with the balls of fluff I have now Faverolles are just so much fun! And I don't miss the bigger poops or my rooster giving me "that look" he is a sweet gentle boy but if you really push him he will give you that look. Today I walked in and scooped up my faverolles boy mid crow

and I don't have to miss the beards which is my favorite thing about both breeds.

I do miss the blue eggs

Ok, this thread has moved off the front page so I'll post a picture of Ranger, my Wheaten who just turned 20 weeks...
love.gif

He is eye candy to me but the thing that knocks me out with this breed is their personalities. My Buff Orps are friendly, follow me around,
and love to sit in my lap once I get hold of them; but flinch at the initial "grab" or reaching out for. These Ameraucanas still hop
on my back when I'm in the pen with them, and love to be petted and scratched under their beards. The girls are a little goofy, but
fearless of us humans.
