Whew! I feel so much better now.
Who said that?
I was on a BYC page and a "moderator" blasted me and another "new egg" about us having EEs. I later corresponded with another breeder from that thread and he said their shape was possibly incorrect.
Judging my breeder:
I am not judging my breeder - he has been so very gracious with me - I apologize if it sounded that way to anyone. He is a nice person to work with.
My birds:
I prefer the look of Wheaton males and females to Blue Wheatons. I am so new to this and I have loved this breed since I heard of the on the Martha Stewart show about 10 years ago. I have researched them since then but "genetics" is a bit beyond my experience level to say the least.
BTW:
"Elvis" is not for sale at any price, his personality is so unique, but if any of you good people want one of my cockerels - other than Elvis, they are free to a good home. I live in Joliet, Illinois. I planned on giving some up - or cooking them - but the cock fighting in this area is very widespread and I don't want one of my babies being used for bait.
To Every One:
Thank you for sharing your ideas, experience, comments and suggestions. Now, will you help me breed them or do you reccomend I stay within a smaller comfort zone?
PS Pips & Peeps:
When my DH ws on facebook he was bragging about our chicken "Americannas" I used your quote: THERE IS NO I IN AMERAUCANNA" Thank you.
