Well I was sitting here planning out my next couple of years and I do believe I want to start a few projects but I want to be sure I still really focus on my recognized colors as well. I don't want to be overwhelmed. I already am adding Buff Bantams and Lavender Bantams. Then I had two other color projects in mind. I don't know if that would be too much for me
Well I hate uncovering ideas but they are just ideas but I was kind of thinking Bantam Blue and Black Mottled which isn't a new idea but the color hasn't really gotten off the ground IMO, and Mahoganey(sp?)/Red Bantam Ameraucanas again not a new idea but one that hasn't gotten any attension.
But I want to get some nice recognized color stock first but would love to work with someone else on these colors once I'm ready. I was thinking about using Mottled d'Anver hens for the Mottleds w/ a Ameraucana rooster. I have read the type comes from father. And for the Mahoganey/Red Bantams I was thinking Bantam Buckeye hens with some color rooster.
