This is the Ameraucana thread. We mean Buff Ameraucanas.

To answer the original question, yes, I have buffs. Look a few pages back for photos. . . I have an unrelated pair an a few Wheatens to breed them to, to improve color, egg color, beard/muffs, etc.

Illia- that is so cool about the buffs and being able to use the wheatens. Did you ever see hinkjc's pics of their f1 jubilee orps? I wonder if your f1s would look like that. They were so pretty they could be a breed all thier own.

I know folks like to mix the two colors of Ameraucanas, IMO they would be still Ameraucanas but the colors would be so mixed and the bad genes would pop up.

Are they are they NOT Ameraucanas and how are the present breeders feel about THAT? I dont think Blehm or Jean (Pips) appreciate that.

Yes. I have some too that are drop dead gorgeous. I love the lavender in just about every breed!​
